a beat tape from some nomadic artists and our friends.

these tracks were collected by Nomadic during summer and early fall 2019 and the sound ranges from classic sample-based boom bap, to smooth R&B woodwind vibes, to dark trap, and genre-less, head-knocking electronic soup.

for some of these artists these tracks represent years of work and development. some are just absolute bangers made in 15 minutes. for others, these tracks are process work; an insight into the kind of b-sides and demos that normally wouldn’t make it into a commercially released product.

sharing these deep cuts - the personal tracks that blend the boundary between the performed artist and the lived human being - is critical to Nomadic’s mission.

Nomadic represents a community larger than it’s official artists. it is the link between young jazz, DIY bedroom-pop aesthetics and techniques, and the irl community connection of hip hop. with this beat tape we hope to share a snapshot of that community with you. welcome to the family.
